The Global Solutions Lab

The Global Solutions Lab is a structured learning experience that fosters creativity, leadership, disruptive innovations, global perspectives and local solutions. It is intense, fast-paced, and for many, transformative. It is focused on real-world problems and real-world solutions that we strive to have implemented. The 17th Annual Global Solutions Lab is online June 13–26, 2021.
During the Global Solutions Lab students are briefed by and interact with United Nations experts (from the UN Development Program, UN Environmental Program, UNESCO, WHO, FAO and other UN agencies), as well as other experts, and learn, as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary, multicultural, inter-generational team from around the world, how to develop solutions to real-world problems and strategies for achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. At Lab’s end, participants present their work to a group of distinguished UN, corporate, philanthropic and NGO leaders who provide valuable feedback. Results are published in a book that comes out later in the year. Last year’s work can be seen and obtained here.
Accepted participants from Innovation Academy will receive a full tuition scholarship. Participation in the Lab is limited, so apply early.
